Stéphane Rolland SS12

I was literally speechless after seeing Stéphane Rolland's SS12 runway at Paris Fashion Week. I can't even put into words how breathtaking the haute couture collection is. Rolland consistently used black and white with pops of red and yellow, but used such an array of fabrics that every piece seemed different and spectacular. The details in each piece are phenomenal! Pay special attention to the last one!

Close up.

This red jersey dress (worn by former supermodel Yasmin Le Bon) was made of 147.5 feet of fabric that weighted 110 pounds! The dress required two male escorts to help Yasmin walk down the runway. What a way to end a show.

Now that is couture.

Urban Outfitters Catalog February 2012

I am loving the shots from the UO February catalog! One thing that really sets the UO catalog apart from others is that rather than it just being a model standing and smiling on a white backdrop, the photographs are incredible. The product is still the focus, but the images are so much more complex and artistic. It definitely reinforces my love for UO! Here are a few of my favorites.

SAG 2012 Awards: Hits, Misses, & Straight-up Confused

I have never had so many favorite looks! The Screen Actor's Guild really presented some stylish stars on the red carpet this year, and I couldn't be happier!

HIT. Amber Heard in Zac Posen. Simple yet edgy. Perfection.

MISS. Amber Riley in Badgley Mischka. Her hair and makeup is gorgeous, but the bow killed the already drab dress.

HIT. Angelina Jolie in Jenny Packham. Angelina looks sexy in anything...she could have done a little more this time though.

MISS. Busy Phillips in SIMONE by Katie Nehra...what?...!..

HIT. Emily Blunt in Oscar de la Renta. The color is gorgeous!

HIT. Emma Rose in Alexander McQueen. One of my favorite fashion icons and absolute favorite designer...the combination could do no wrong.

HIT. Giuliana Rancic in Basil Soda. Totally unexpected and different from anything else on the red carpet.

HIT. Jayma Mays in Reem Acra. This gown reminds me of something extraterrestrial and cosmic. I love the neckline, the sleeves, the train...and just about everything.

HIT. Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein. Although it would not be a personal choice of mine, Jessica just looks so classy in this and really represents what the award shows are all about.

MISS. Kaley Cuoco in Romona Keveza. Are you going to prom? Or dressed up as Swan Princess?

MISS. Kristen Wiig in Balenciaga. The halter gown is perfectly fine, its that horrible dominatrix collar that killed it for me.

MISS. Lea Michele in Versace. I get the whole 'sexy' persona, and I really don't think that this dress is horrible...I just wish Lea would switch it up a little....and is her facial expression for real?

MISS. Maria Menounos. She's gorgeous...not digging the bustier dress though.

CONFUSED. Meryl Streep in Vivienne Westwood Couture. Such an iconic woman, I truly love her and respect her style. The draping is fabulous on her dress, but the belt completely threw me off.

CONFUSED. Michelle Williams in Valentino. I want to like this. I really, really do. I understand the look that she is going for, but I can't help but to have flashbacks of a J.C.Penney evening wear department when looking at this dress.

HIT. Natalie Portman in Giambattista Valli. The color is phenomenal. Lucky her little frame can pull off that semi-awkward fabric bunch on her chest. Only she can!

HIT. Octavia Spencer in Marchesa.. The color is stunning against her skin tone. She has never let me down.

HIT. Rose Byrne in Elie Saab. Although I was tempted to put her on the CONFUSED list, the fact that she was so daring in her choice of outfit, I have to put her as a hit. She totally pulled it off, down to the hairstyle and clutch.

CONFUSED. Shailene Woodley in L'Wren Scott. Another daring look. Can't say I love it though.

HIT. Sofia Vergara in Marchesa. Aside from the fact that she has the most AMAZING body, the dress perfect showcases it and the color is beautiful on her.

HIT. Tilda Swinton in Lanvin. I just love everything about her...her style is a little on the strange side, but she pulls it off like no one else can.

HIT. Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture. She is truly and ice-princess. One of my favorite looks from the night. Gorgeous.

Jason Wu for Target

Counting down until February 5! I can hardly wait until Jason Wu's collection hits Target stores and Target online. Is waiting outside for Target to open too much? Hmm..probably not, but his collection is absolutely stunning, and the fact that I will be able to snag a few affordable Jason Wu pieces is enough to make me pull an all-nighter outside of Target! Everything looks very classic and chic, and of course well made. Check out some of my favorite looks!

Can I have it all?

Fashiolista

My newest discovery/addiction is Fashiolista.com. It is similar to Pinterest but much more fashion forward and addicting (ahh!). You can easily mark your favorite things and all of your 'loves' will appear on your profile. The best part is that all of the images have a link to where they came from, which makes purchasing super easy! Or if you are a broke college student like me, it makes window shopping much, much more fun!

Disco Biscuit by Butter

So, if the name of the nail polish doesn't give the color away (sarcasm), this multidimensional, Barbie pink shade is hypnotizing! I'm not usually a huge fan of hot pink polishes, but I seriously could not say no when I saw this. Something about the iridescent sparkle flecks and neon pink color reminds me of my childhood--in a good way of course! Definitely a cold-weather pick me up, and it definitely doesn't hurt that fuchsia is a huge nail color trend for spring! Pick it up quick, it's part of Butter's spring collection and I'm sure it will go fast.
"Disco Biscuit" - $14 at Ulta or Nordstrom
