Living the Dream.

I am officially moved! I am living right outside of the city in New Jersey right now, just a short commute into the city. All that I am missing is a job...

Alice Dallal for Chanel

I must say, I am truly impressed with Chanel's new ad campaign! While flipping through the pages of the newest Elle, this ad screamed to me. I feel it is really unexpected from Chanel, which makes me love this even more. Chosen by Lagerfeld in 2011, Alice is a British model from Brazil...confused? Who cares, she is stunning, and even more stunning are the following images!

When you can't afford retail therapy...window shop!

If I never mentioned it before, I am currently interning at Virginia Living Magazine as the fashion intern. I style photo shoots, contact designers and brands for images and information, and do tons of trend research. It is such a fun learning experience! We are currently working on the "Best of Virginia" issue, so we have been scouting for  great outfits for the photo shoot. Definitely the best part of my position is going into great boutiques and department stores in search of fabulous pieces. I always come across a ton of things that I love and want for myself, and today was no exception. Check out my favorite picks!
This skirt is so Pocahontas (which just so happens to be my favorite Disney movie!). So fabulous, especially the leather overlay.

No words....the color...the leather patches. Drooling.

Thank you for encouraging my obsession with spikes, Rebecca Minkoff!

Studs....mmm.

This bag seriously needs to be mine...

Orange or cobalt blue??? Both such hot colors right now!

Spring Break 2012

And my second excuse for slacking on updates...I just returned from Spring Break!! I was lucky enough to return back to NYC for a few days. It was so surreal being there, it felt like I had never left from when I lived there over the summer. It is truly the city of dreams, and I can't imagine living anywhere else when I graduate. I visited the wonderful people I worked with at my internship, explored my favorite spots, and of course shopped! And ate...hahaha. Here are just a few pictures from my travel!

Old apartment...so weird.

Love.

Favorite salad from Hale & Hearty. Heaven.

Ay yo Ceelo! Insane.

TOPSHOP wahhhh I'm home.

Dinner in Little Italy. Tourist time...

I absolutely love this from Soho. So cool.

Graffiti.

And then home to VB. Happiness.

Sweet baby Betsey.

It's happening...

Here is my excuse for not posting in nearly a month! I graduate in less than two months...dear GOD. So excited/anxious/nervous/scared!

Side-note: how crucial are those glasses? Love.

Angelina Jolie's Infamous Leg

Angelina Jolie's appearance at the 2012 Oscars has become a legend. No, I'm not talking about how gorgeous her Versace dress was, or how effortlessly sexy she ALWAYS is. I'm talking about the LEG...yup. The leg. Her leg became more than just a trending topic on Twitter during the awards show, it earned the rights to its very own Twitter. Too much?
That's why I enjoy this picture FAR too much...
 Equally hilarious and disturbing...

You were made for me...

Oscars 2012: The Best, The Worst, and The Confused.

One of my favorite things to talk about....fashion on the red carpet. And I sure had a lot to talk about this time!

BEST: Angelina Jolie in Versace. Have we ever seen Angelina look bad? But seriously... a) we know you have great legs and b) we see the slit, was it necessary to stick your leg out like that?

Best looking couple...ugh.

WORST: Anna Farris in Diane Von Furstenberg. This dress reminds me of a 60 year old jazz singer...I hate it.

BEST: Cameron Diaz in Gucci. The bottom of the dress is HEAVEN.

CONFUSED: Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli. I don't hate this gown, but she has had so many better dresses that I can't say I love it. The big bow around her neck is distracting, but her hair and makeup are perfection.

BEST: Esperanza Spalding. The gown is absolutely gorgeous.

BEST: Guiliana Rancic in Tony Ward. I am ALWAYS a fan of her on the red carpet...she never lets me down. I wish she had opted for a different hair style though, it is a bit severe.

BEST: Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford. Can I be you?!

BEST: Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Muran. Jennifer Lopez will never go away...it's time to embrace her effortless sexiness.

BESTBESTBEST: Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen.

I. DIE.

BEST: Kelly Osborne. I have never hated any of Kelly Osborne's looks on the red carpet, but this dress looks fabulous on her. It fits her perfectly, and I love her hair with it - color and all!

CONFUSED: Kristen Wiig in J Mendel. I'm not confused by the look, just can't decide if I hate it or love it. I am .000000009 away from loving it, something is just off!

BEST: Livia Firth in Valentino. This dress is made of recycled polyester from plastic bottles. How cool is that?

BEST: Maria Menounos. I mean, she could pull of a potato-sack if she had to.

BEST: Meryl Streep in Lanvin. This dress is perfect on her.

BEST: Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab. The entire look is so coherent and glamorous.

CONFUSED: Natalie Portman in Dior. OK, so I will admit that I absolutely DESPISED this gown until I found out that it is from 1954. That is the only thing that makes it kind of alright. I am not a fan of the complete look though, the hair and jewelry kind of ages her.

BEST: Nina Garcia. So elegant and easy.

BEST: Rooney Mara in Givenchy. As much as I dislike the blunt bangs on anyone else, Rooney totally pulls it off and it looks great with her dress. Love.

CONFUSED: Sandra Bullock in Marchesa. I do LOVE this dress, but the top is not the most flattering on Sandra. So close to being a best dressed though.

CONFUSED: Sarah Hyland in Alberta Ferretti. She could have done SO much more for the Oscars. She looks beautiful, but this dress is much more appropriate for an older woman.

BEST: Shailene Woodley. I think this is a BIG move for such a young actress, but a big move done well. Shailene looks classy and timeless.

CONFUSED: Sherri Shepherd. Everything is dead on about this look, MINUS the black bra creeping through the sheer detailing on the chest. I am beyond confused as to how this wasn't caught prior to her walk on the red carpet...was it on purpose?

BEST: Viola Davis in Vera Wang. She is gorgeous, and her hair and makeup is perfect for the gown.
